Our focus…

AJ’s Heart was created to impact the community by supporting the youth.  It is the goal of AJ’s Heart to provide educational programming that will be a catalyst to promote positive development in our youth.  This organization will also provide scholarships to help students continue their educational journey.  Knowing that when we pay it forward we are investing in our future and encouraging our youth to be the best version of themselves.

Our inspiration…

Anthony James Gibson (AJ) was born December 27, 2001.  AJ was a smart and loving person.   AJ loved to play football and basketball and video games.  You could find him often engaging in conversation with friends while eating his favorite snack.  Although AJ’s 6’2 stature could not be overlooked he was a gentle giant.   AJ was a 16-year-old junior in King George High School when he passed away.  He died from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, a disease of the heart muscle which is rarely detected due to the lack of symptoms associated with the disease.  Although AJ's years were limited here on earth they were impactful.  AJ had a special love for his community and community encompassed more than his home address.
